My major fields are Comparative Politics and International Relations. I have taught as instructor of record or as a Teaching Assistant in a variety of classes in both of these fields. In addition to teaching in my major fields, I was the Teaching Assistant for introductory American Politics courses, both traditional courses as well as writing intensive courses that doubled for English credit. My experience as a first-generation student and tutor in the Graduate Writing Center have informed my teaching pedagogy; my goals include breaking down the hidden curriculum for students, as well as a scaffolding approach to the material, especially writing.
