I teach courses in American Politics and Comparative Politics. I've also been the teaching assistant to writing intensive courses that doubled for English credit. My experience as a first-generation student and tutor in the Graduate Writing Center have informed my teaching pedagogy; my goals include breaking down the hidden curriculum for students, as well as a scaffolding approach to the material, especially writing. I enjoy bringing in field work and travel experiences in the classroom to make what I teach more tangible to students.
In the summer of 2024 I led a study abroad course to Seoul, South Korea, the first study abroad for Lamar's Political Science department.
